Hello friends,
A card to share for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme from Team Darlene for our two weekly challenge this time is “Looking Back in Time”. You can create anything that reminds you of times gone by! Please visit the Double D challenge blog and see the wonderful samples from Double “D”s talented designers and join in the fun!
It is also time to announce the winner of the $10 gift certificate from 1-2-3 Stitch.com that I offered for the celebration of our third anniversary at Double D Challenges. The name of the random winner that was drawn from the entries on the Double D Challenge blog is #49 Ellie.
Congratulations, I will email you directly, notifying you of this win! Please be sure to email me back to get the details how to claim your gift certificate. Many thanks to all of you that participated – I wish I could give a prize to everyone!
Now onto the details of my card for the new challenge. I created my card in the vintage style using a vintage telephone die cut as focal point. I used script paper and a piece of hessian for my background layers The vintage telephone was lifted from the fancy die cut panel with mirror tape for dimension. The telephone is colored with distress inks. I finished off with a die cut sentiment, a bow and vintage buttons. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
I also entered my card in the following challenges:
- Scrapy Land Challenges #106 (ends 01/30) – Anything Goes with a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells (Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities “Radiant Rectangles” (S5-161) — Creative Expressions Craft Mini Expressions die “Just wanted to say” (CEDME001))
- The Happy Craft Challenge (January) (ends 02/12) – Anything Goes
- The Creative Crafter’s Challenge #12 (ends 02/15) – Anything Goes
- Simply Create Too Challenge #145 (ends 01/26) – Anything Goes
