Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 7-12

Hello friends,

The theme for our last 2019 challenge at Double D Challenges is “Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 7-12 ”. The team created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the DD_TwelveDays7-12Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile and as always there is a lovely prize to win! This will be my last post before Christmas and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your visits during 2019. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and for my Christian friends, have a Merry Christmas.

My card was inspired by the nine dancers, although I could only fit in three dancers on my card. I layered three Christmas trees on designer paper as background for my ballerinas. The tutus of the ballerinas were embellished with little die cut bows and then the ballerinas were layered with mirror tape to the background for dimension. I then added silver gemstones to create an illusion of falling snowflakes. Each tree was embellished with a silver star and some glitter glue. I finished off with a strip of lace, pink roses and silver cord. The sentiment is cut from silver shimmer card-stock.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

So beautifully done Amelia. Loving this ballerina scene. Going to see my daughter in the Nutcracker tomorrow, this reminds me of one of the scenes she’s in.
Thanks so much for sharing this week with us at Allsorts challenge!

Ravishing card and I really wish that I had thought of the ladies dancing. I do have the dies and have not used them. Maybe next year, if I remember. Lol Merry Christmas!

How lovely. This design makes me think of Swan Lake or the Nut Cracker. Really beautiful, and great take on the challenge. Gorgeous flowers and fabulous patterned papers, and how cute to add the bows to all the dancers. I think it just makes this card.

Oh my goodness … what a BEAUTIFUL creation my friend! I can hear ‘Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy’ just looking at these lovely ladies in their beautifully bowed tutus! And the trees in the background are PERFECT! It’s like looking at dancers on a stage dancing to the Nutcracker! WELL DONE!! You inspire me so much!
On another note … thanks for your kind thoughts & prayers! I LOVE all of my DD sisters!! HUGS & Happy Holidays
