Beautiful Blooms …

Hello everyone,

I was surprised to see it was three weeks ago since I last posted a card on my blog – time just flies! But it is good to be back today and share a card that I created for the current challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. The inspiration picture is so beautiful and I tried to capture as many elements in the photo as possible: the bicycle, blooms, banner and wooden planks. The background paper is from the Prima “Tea-Thyme” collection. I stamped the wooden planks  with an Impression Obsession background stamp, cut it in small strips, distressed the pieces and glued them onto the background paper. The die cuts and flowers are distressed with white paint to give the card a shabby look. As springtime is the most loved season for me, I added some hearts, bling and a sentiment “Celebrate” to welcome this wonderful time of the year.

Challenges:

The banner, birds and roses

MB_SpringBicycle1The bicycle loaded with beautiful roses

  • Memory Box die “Brand New Bicycle” (No.98404)
  • Paper Smooches wise die “Birthday Words” (FBD120)

Thank you for visiting today and I would love to know your thoughts about my card. Have a wonderful day and happy crafting.

Regards,

Amelia

Hi, Amelia! How pretty to distress each one of the wooden planks, and then contrast the woodsy outdoor details with the white bicycle and wording. I especially like your pale pink rose “trellis” framing your card! hugs, de

I think this is fabulous 🙂
This is wonderfully timeless, and the distressing of the paper edges really adds to the effect. Thanks for joining us this time at Simply Papercraft 🙂

I for one love shabby chic and must try to make this or something similar. Not familiar with the wood background die…love the sift colors on the roses..reminds me of days gone by…
