Hello friends,
Another Christmas card for the new challenge at Double D Challenges. The theme for this fortnight is “Run Run Rudolph”. Team Diane is looking for any kind of deer (doesn’t have to be Christmas). The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile and as always there is a lovely prize to win!
I was inspired by the colors, script and reindeer in the inspiration picture. I like the earthy tones and decided to create my card in brown, gold and cream. I layered script designer paper on a brown base paper and added a gold die cut wreath as background for the reindeer. I attached the gold wreath with a bow to the sentiment. The reindeer was layered with mirror tape to the wreath and embellished with a fancy die-cut bow and small paper roses. I finished off with gold sequins . I love the colors and rustic look of this Christmas card.
I entered my card in the following challenges:
- Scrapy Land Challenges #103 (ends 12/19) – Anything Goes with a die cut from a brand that Scrapy Land sells. (Dies used: Creative Expressions sentiment die “Stacked Merry Christmas” (CEDME014) — Memory Box Craft die “Hutton Wreath” (94008))
- Card Mania Challenge CMC#111 (ends 01/01) – Christmas
- Christmas Crafts All Year Round December Challenge (ends 12/31) – Anything Goes
- Crafty Animals Challenge #21 (ends 12/27) – Anything Goes with an Animal
