Butterfly Kisses

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog. Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the theme “Skies”. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.

I was inspired by the sun and blue and white colours of the top right picture in the inspiration photo. I created a fun critter card with a stamp and die set purchased a while ago.  I used a stencil and distress ink to create the clouds as background for my card, then coloured the images with water-colour pencils, die cut each shape and layered them on the background with mirror tape for dimension. For more interest I added a yellow sun and a pop-up cloud as well. I framed the “happy” scene with a layer of yellow card-stock. I finished off with a die-cut sentiment.
