Soar …

Hello friends,

Time for a new challenge at Double D Challenges. I am joining Team Darlene for this challenge with the theme “Stripes and Dots”. Please visit the Double D Challenge blog to DD_StripesDotssee more wonderful samples from Double “D”s talented designers. We have a prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org. A Top Creative Winner and Top 3 will be chosen by the Design Team.

I like the black stripes and dots of the teapot and bowl from the mood board and used that as inspiration for my card. I layered the lovely stamped bird-cage on the polka dot and striped designer paper with mirror tape for dimension. I added a cute black cat and a little bird for interest. For a splash of color I embellished the card with pink roses, green leaves, gemstones and a strip of floral washi tape. I finished off with a die cut sentiment and some glitter on the roses. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

I entered my card in the following challenges:

This is so striking! I love your dotted and striped background, the way you designed it looks beautiful! Black and white is always so elegant and then adding that pretty Washi Tape and your beautiful pink flowers, which POP, this is above and beyond…just gorgeous!

So very cute, this could be a scene from our backyard, I think every cat in the neighborhood comes to check out the birds I feed. Pretty combo of your stripes and dots!

This card made me smile just thinking about the cat watching the bird, but it is elegant just the same. Great inside too.

Beautiful, Amelia! I do love the black and white as a base for the pretty bird cage along with the cat and bird. Inside looks so pretty, too! The Washi tape and roses are just the right touch of color and coordinate with each other beautifully.
