Fall Leaves

Hello friends,

A new challenge starts today at the Double D Challenge blog . Team Darlene is hosting this challenge with the lovely theme of “October – What does it mean to you?”. The team have created beautiful cards to inspire you – a visit to the Double D Challenge blog will be worthwhile. We have also a fun prize to give away to one lucky player which will be chosen by Random.org.

I love to make cards with autumn colours – the browns, oranges, reds and yellows are so warm and earthy. I decided to create a shabby card with a rustic feel for this challenge. I painted a few scraps of papers with my watercolour paints and then die cut the leaves with different sizes of dies. I layered branches on a “stone wall” background die cut. I then add the leaves with mirror tape for dimension and lightly dusted the edges of the leaves with gold glitter. I finished off with a die cut sentiment. Hope you like my take on the challenge.
